Original operas, theatre arts, comedy, spectacle

Luminous Thread is a program of Inventing Earth, a Colorado-based non-profit.

In 2014 Luminous Thread collaborated with The Denver Early Music Consort in concert performances of “Music from The Greenest Branch” in Denver and Boulder. See concert footage here:

Richardis’ Aria, “A Sense of Heat” from Act III of The Greenest Branch, sung by Marjorie Bunday 22 November 2014 in Boulder, Colorado.
Note: This is the infamous piece written in a 17/4 time signature. Great playing and singing!

In 2015, Luminous Thread is bringing world class performers to Boulder County for training and ensemble-building. See the lineup of workshops with master practitioners here: inventingearth.org/events

For our last full-length opera performance, Denver’s Westword gave us two thumbs up with a Best of 2013 award for a new and entirely original music theater experience in Denver: Steampunk! www.westword.com/bestof/2013/

Other recent press – Westword 3 October 2012: Luminous Thread Productions brings dreampunk theater to Denver

Our first show in Boulder and Denver was “Nuptials for the Dead,” an opera built entirely on German art song from the 19th century.

A great introduction to Luminous Thread is found in our last Kickstarter video:
